I met up with this lady last night for drinks. She was a model about 15 years ago but looks pretty haggard these days.

Still she's not bad looking by my standards. After having one drink at the bar she suggested we go out to the patio for some fresh air.

As we walked outside she asked me where we should sit. I suggested away from where there were people smoking. She interjected with "oh I may have one smoke, but I only smoke when I drink, and just one."

I was already not liking this and chose a table as far away from non-smokers as possible.

Sure enough the minute we sat down she lit up. When she finished with that one she lit up another right after, and then another. She must of had about 5-6 cigarettes in about 30 minutes. During this time she was muttering about the good old modeling days and sucked back 4 glasses of wine. I guess it goes without saying that she has nothing good going on in her life these days.

Just when I thought it couldn't get worse she volunteered me to drive her home. It wasn't far but kind of rude to ask... I would have offered. While walking to my car she asked me to hold her hand... maybe more to do with the cocktails than the romantic angle.

When we got in my car she asked me where the lighter was... I don't have one in my car... and if I did there was no damn way she was smoking in there anyway!

I dropped her off and was glad our date was over. When I stopped at a light I scratched my nose and got a terrible whiff of nicotine... gross... this just from holding hands with her. I had to shower when I arrived home.

After this fiasco I double checked her profile and sure enough it says "non-smoker."
